Our review:Amazon.com Item Description:Lose yourself in the captivating aqua hue of this trillion-cut Paraiba Apatite gemstone, which measures 10 by 10 millimeters and has a weight of 3.55 carats. This recently discovered shade of apatite, mined in Madagascar, exhibits a gorgeous blue-green color reminiscent of a luxurious resort pool. The name 'apatite' comes from the Greek 'apatao' which means 'to deceive,' and this lovely shade of apatite is easily confused with the much sought-after Paraiba Tourmaline. With a hardness of 5 on the Mohs scale, apatite must be set and worn gently. It is too soft to be recommended for rings, but this stone would make a stunning pendant or pin. Clean it using mild soapy water and avoid steamers and ultrasonic cleaners since this stone is heat and shock sensitive.
